Orange County officials announced the road closures that will occur during the annual Dana Point Turkey Trot on Thursday, Nov. 24.

Dana Point Police Services will be implementing the following road closures:

Midnight-1 p.m.

Dana Point Harbor Drive from Street of the Golden Lantern to Casitas Place

5 a.m.-1 p.m.

Southbound Street of the Golden Lantern from Lantern Bay Drive to Dana Point Harbor Drive.

  • This closure should not impact access into the Harbor
  • Limited access for vendors and Dana Marina Plaza employees

6-8 a.m.

Dana Point Harbor Drive from Street of the Golden Lantern to Pacific Coast Highway (eastbound)

This closure will impact access to:

  • Puerto Place
  • The Embarcadero Marina/Launch ramp area
  • Mariner’s Village and Dana Wharf Parking Lots
  • Doheny State Beach

6:30 a.m.-Noon

Dana Point Harbor Drive from Island Way to the Ocean Institute

This closure will impact access to:

  • The Marina Inn
  • The Dana Point Orange County Sailing & Events Center
  • The Ocean Institute
  • Nordhavn, Aventura and both Yacht Clubs
  • The Orange County Dana Point Harbor Office and Dana Point Harbor Patrol Office
  • All marina parking lots

The county advises anyone who may be traveling to the Harbor on Thanksgiving to plan accordingly and allow extra time to arrive at the destination.

Boat owners will not be able to access their boats, if accessed via Island Way, from 6:30-11:30 a.m.
