Friday, June 17

WELFARE CHECK

Pacific Coast Highway/Camino Capistrano (10:38 p.m.) Police were called about one person lying in the street and two others lying on the sidewalk.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT-UNKNOWN INJURY

Beach Road, 34800 Block (8:31 p.m.) Police were called near the railroad tracks about two cars that were in an accident.

DISTURBANCE

Del Obispo Street/Pacific Coast Highway (7:03 p.m.) Police were called for a man who was “causing trouble” and hit the caller’s car.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Calle Rosita/Avenida Las Palmas (6:01 p.m.) Police were called about an ice cream truck with no stickers playing “It’s a Small World.” The caller told police the truck had a “209” phone number on the side.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Via Sacramento, 26400 Block (5:42 p.m.) Two boys were reportedly smoking drugs at the school.

DISTURBANCE

Dana Point Harbor Drive, 24800 Block (4:11 p.m.) Police were called about kids on the embankment throwing rocks at passing vehicles.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT-NON INJURY

Pacific Coast Highway/Street of the Golden Lantern (3:23 p.m.) A green Honda CRV and a large white semi-truck were involved in an accident.

CITIZEN ASSIST

Nauticus Isle, 33900 Block (3:10 p.m.) A woman told police someone tried to break into her car overnight.

DISTURBANCE

Sea Terrace Street, 0 Block (1:33 a.m.) Police were called about several juveniles in the main pool area being loud.

DISTURBANCE

Alcazar Drive, 33900 Block (12:38 a.m.) A man was arrested after police were called about a verbal disagreement between the caller and their uncle.

Thursday, June 16

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

El Encanto Avenue, 34000 Block (10:46 p.m.) Police were called for a man walking down the back alley barking at the caller’s dogs.

DRUNK DRIVING

Stonehill Drive/Del Obispo Street (9:21 p.m.) A woman driving a white Volvo was arrested.

BURGLARY IN PROGRESS

Nottingham Way, 33400 Block (8:12 p.m.) A woman told police someone was trying to break into her sister’s residence.

PETTY THEFT

Calle Del Sol, 34800 Block (7:49 p.m.) A caller told police their car was broken into.

DISTURBANCE

Via Sacramento/Via San Juan (4:38 p.m.) Police were called about three or four skateboarders who set up a ramp on the street and almost got hit several times.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT-NON INJURY

Capistrano By the Sea, 34100 Block (2:37 p.m.) A skateboarder and a driver in a vehicle were involved in an accident.

PETTY THEFT

Mazo Drive, 34000 Block (11:23 a.m.) The caller said doggie bowls were stolen from the location.

VANDALISM

Ionian Bay, 23800 Block (9:23 a.m.) The caller told police some sort of vandalism was done to their vehicle.

DRUNK DRIVING

Pacific Coast Highway/Alcazar Drive (12:39 p.m.) A caller was following a black Suzuki, whose driver appeared impaired.

VANDALISM

Street of the Copper Lantern, 33900 Block (12:01 a.m.) A caller told police their residence was vandalized.

Wednesday, June 15

DISTURBANCE

Street of the Golden Lantern/Dana Point Harbor Drive (6:39 p.m.) A man was throwing rocks at cars.

DISTURBANCE

Pacific Coast Highway/Beach Road (6:35 p.m.) Police received a call about a woman yelling profanities and hiding in the bushes directly across from the guard shack.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT-NON INJURY

Del Obispo Street/Pacific Coast Highway (6:35 p.m.) A gray Lincoln and a silver pickup were involved in an accident.

PATROL CHECK

Island Way Bridge (3:16 p.m.) Police were called to the east side of the bridge for two juveniles bridge jumping.

CITIZEN ASSIST

Regina, 0 Block (2:34 p.m.) A man called police and said his neighbor was intimidating him.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Doheny Park Road, 34100 Block (11:21 a.m.) A caller told police a woman was inside the store putting things inside of a blanket. The caller believed the woman was going to try and leave without paying.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE

Sea Lion Drive, 33100 Block (8:35 a.m.) The caller told police a person in a red Dodge truck kept driving up and down the street for 10 minutes.

Ascension Road, 32400 Block (6:04 a.m.) Police were called about a man trying to get into the caller’s residence.

Monarch Bay drive, 200 Block (12:30 a.m.) A woman told police she believed she could hear someone in her garage.

Tuesday, June 14

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE

Doheny Park Road, 34000 Block (11:51 p.m.) Police received a call about a man in a white pickup truck. The caller told police they were concerned because the door to the vehicle was open.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

La Serena Drive, 34100 Block (11:47 p.m.) A man told police he believed people were after him and were surrounding the property he was in. He told police he didn’t know the address.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Azores Road, 32200 Block (8:49 p.m.) A caller told police someone was flashing a laser pointer into the caller’s house and into the sky.

HIT AND RUN PARKED CAR
Street of the Silver Lantern, 33700 Block (6:38 p.m.) A man told police his silver BMW was hit earlier in the day.

HIT AND RUN MISDEMEANOR

Del Prado, 24700 Block (6:09 p.m.) Police received a call about a driver in a white Range Rover who hit a large planter on the property.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Street of the Park Lantern/Dana Point Harbor Drive (5:20 p.m.) Police received a call about about a female who “was playing” in the fountain.

OPEN DOOR

Harbor View Drive, 24600 Block (4:35 p.m.) The caller told police that when they got home the front door was open.

TRESPASSING

Ritz Pointe Drive, 0 Block (3:31 p.m.) The caller said they saw three juveniles crawl into an upstairs window of an empty unit. The caller said one of the juveniles recently moved out.

PATROL CHECK

Island Way Bridge (3:11 p.m.) Two juveniles were jumping off the east side of the bridge.

BURGLARY

Sea Bright Drive, 33300 Block (12:23 p.m.) A car was reportedly broken into.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE

Santa Clara Avenue/Old Golden Lantern (9:43 a.m.) Police received a called for a spray painted white Ford van. The caller stated it may have been occupied and has been there since the day before.

BURGLARY IN PROGRESS

Captains Lane, 33700 Block (6:42 a.m.) The caller told police a man went through their doggie door.
