A welcome home victory party in honor of Capistrano Beach resident and professional longboard surfer Rachael Tilly was held Wednesday night at the Hobie Surf Shop in San Clemente.

Tilly became the youngest ever to become the WSL (ASP) Women’s World Longboard Champion on Dec. 8 in China.

Tilly is a longtime member of the Hobie surf team as well as the San Clemente High School surf team where she is a senior.
