The Monarch Beach Sunrise Rotary Club recognized two students from Dana Hills High School, seniors Eric Thorp and Lucy Reidling, for their outstanding academic achievements and volunteer service.

“With these outstanding stars, the future of our country is in good hands,” Rotary Club President Alan Wickstrom said in an email.

The students, along with their parents, Judith Thorp and Lenny and Keeran Reiling, and Dana Hills principal Jason Allemann, were honored at the club’s monthly meeting on December 11.

Meetings are held at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort and Spa, which sponsors the club’s students of the month with a free breakfast. Find out more about the Rotary Club by visiting,
