Planning Commissioners approved a de minimis project waiver to permit an addition on a building to accommodate a new restaurant in the city.
During its Feb. 13 meeting, Planning Commission voted four to zero; Commissioner April O’Connor was not in attendance, in favor of an application for an addition of 764 square feet to establish a new restaurant in the Lantern District.
According to the staff report, the restaurant will be on the first floor of an existing building and will add 764 square feet to the ground floor to fill an existing void in the building. The void used to be a driveway and primary access to the site, and right-of-way improvements from Town Center no longer permit entrance from that area.
The space will feature an outdoor dining area along Del Prado. To see the report, click here.
