During a special South Coast Water District meeting on Friday, Dec. 2, newcomer Douglas Erdman and incumbents Rick Erkeneff and Wayne Rayfield were sworn into office.
Erdman was elected into office during the 2016 election after Director Dick Dietmeier chose not to re-run for his seat.
Erdman is a Capistrano Beach resident and is a civil engineer who previously served on the water district board.
Rayfield was selected as president for the eighth year, and Director Bill Green was elected to fill the vice president seat by the board.
