Measure H Approved by California Coastal Commission

The California Coastal Commission (CCC) certified an amendment to codify Measure H in the Lantern District.

During the CCC meeting on Sept. 8, Commissioners agreed with the CCC executive director’s determination that the city’s Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) was a minor amendment, and thus approved it, foregoing a lengthier review.

The executive director stated the amendment was minor because the proposed changes to the city’s implementing ordinances were consistent with, and adequate to carry out, the Land Use Plan component of the LCP.

The next step for the measure would be for the city to implement it.
