SUPPORT THIS INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. That’s why the DP Times is now turning to you for financial support. Learn more about our new Insider’s program here. Thank you.

With all that our law enforcement is expected to do, I can’t say they should spend more time chasing speeding cars. The sad result is that our wonderful wide roads have been turned into speed tracks where going the speed limit will put you in mortal danger.
My attitude is if you break the law, you deserve the penalty, and if a camera can catch you, so much the better.
Every intersection and section of roadway that is prone to speeding should be checked by cameras. Let’s bring back some respect for our community and its laws.
