Letter: Dana Point Short-Term Rentals Gives Families an Option

I am writing to you today on behalf of honoring short-term rentals in Dana Point. My family has stayed in Jeanette Krueger’s beautiful Dana Point tri-plex. We have made her rental our vacation destination for many years because of the safe, well kept, clean and beautifully decorated accommodations, the amazing location and the fair price. These rentals in Dana Point are so valuable to families like mine who have small children and a smaller budget. Most of the hotels in the area are so expensive and if short-term rentals did not exist families like mine would never get to enjoy the Dana Point community. I hope that the city of Dana Point re-thinks this decision of denying home owners these opportunities because it will not only be a loss for families like mine but it will also be a loss for all of the small local businesses that rely on tourists to shop, eat and play at their establishments.

Thank you again for your time and I hope that Dana Point can remain an option for my family and I for our yearly vacation location.
