We are concerned about the short-term rental ordinance that’s proposed. A repetitive short-term rental operation in our neighborhood would be disruptive and very unwelcome.
A proliferation of properties purchased for short-term rentals as a commercial profitable investment could happen without a strict ordinance prohibiting it. An occasional short-term rental by permanent residents leaving home for a short time would be acceptable.
We hope that the city finds a balance that allows permanent residents some room and eliminates repetitive short-term rentals.
