On Sunday, Oct. 4 from 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the Ocean Institute, 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive, culture embraces ecology to benefit the Kaskazi Environmental Alliance’s mission to create environmental awareness, stewardship and conservation of East Africa’s coastal resources through marine science education.
Tickets are priced from $75 to $250 and include “The Sacred Island: A Conversation with Dr. Carl Safina,” a panel discussion, VIP reception, book signing, photo exhibits, East African-inspired dancers, singers, drummers and cuisine.
