The 44th annual Dana Point Festival of Whales for 2015 concluded Saturday and Sunday, March 14 and 15, with many of the festival’s traditional events, such as the Whale of a Concert and BBQ and the Clam Chowder Cook-off. Weekend two also ushered in the addition of the inaugural PhinFest Dolphin & Whale Film Festival. This year’s Chowder Cook-off champion was Max Fisher, owner ofShwack Beach Grill, Sunday’s concert at Baby Beach brought out hundreds and PhinFest brought world-renown cetacean scientists, filmmakers and policy-makers.
