On Sept. 19, Dana Point City Council released a summary of results compiled for their 2017 community survey conducted between Sept. 8 and Sept. 13. On page 41 of the PDF document is the compilation of information regarding community news sources. Little did we expect to find the Dana Point Times, one of Picket Fence Media’s weekly newspapers, to be the number one trusted news source. This welcomed news brought a sense of pride to all of us at the Picket Fence Media office.

On behalf of the team, I’d like to express our gratitude to all loyal DP Times readers who continue to support our hyper local publication. Whether that support is translated through picking up our print edition each week, watching our videos on our social media pages, collaborating with us to develop stories that matter to our community, or sending us complimentary emails about coverage that probably kept us at the office long after banker’s hours, your contributions have affected the success of our paper.

As the DP Times approaches its 10-year anniversary in February, we look forward to continuing these relationships with our readers to provide the trusted news you can use for yet another 10 years.
