SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Westborne Drive/Del Obispo Street (11:18 p.m.) Police were called about a man carrying a laptop bag and running at full speed down Westborne Drive.

HIT AND RUN PARKED CAR REPORT

Camino El Molino, 34500 Block (9:53 p.m.) Police were told the caller’s truck was hit by a Jeep.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE

Selva Road, 34000 Block (9:42 p.m.) Police were called about an RV that was parked in front of the caller’s bedroom window.

Thursday, May 26

DISTURBANCE – MUSIC OR PARTY

Street of the Golden Lantern, 33300 Block (11:41 p.m.) Police were called about of group of 60 students lighting fireworks and making a lot of noise on school property.

VANDALISM IN PROGRESS

Street of the Golden Lantern, 33300 Block (11:07 p.m.) Police were called to the location for two or three men that threw eggs at the cars and set off a firework.

WELFARE CHECK

Doheny Park Road, 34200 Block (7:03 p.m.) A drunk woman was arrested after she called police crying because she was kicked out of the bar.

PETTY THEFT REPORT

Via Sacramento, 26400 Block (4:54 p.m.) A purse was stolen from the caller’s vehicle.

RECKLESS DRIVING

Camino Del Avion/Del Obispo Street (3:58 p.m.) A white Lexus SUV was seen swerving all over the road and cutting people off.

BURGLARY REPORT

Calle Rosita, 34500 Block (2:59 p.m.) A caller told police he discovered multiple items were taken from his vehicle earlier in the day.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Street of the Terrace Lantern, 25000 Block (10:22 a.m.) Police were called for a man walking around the complex hanging around apartment doors.

VANDALISM REPORT

Monarch Beach Resort, 0 Block (9:54 a.m.) Police were called about vandalism at the golf shop.

Wednesday, May 25

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NON INJURY

Crown Valley Parkway/Pacific Coast Highway (8:28 pm.) A white Honda Accord Coupe and a silver Chevy Volt were involved in the incident.

TERRORIST THREATS

Malaga Drive, 33700 Block (5:22 p.m.) Police were called about their girlfriend’s ex-husband.

KEEP THE PEACE

Adriatic Drive, 32500 Block (4:08 p.m.) A caller told police they had an issue with their neighbor’s gardener. They stated the gardener kept blowing leaf’s into their pool.

TRAFFIC ACCIDENT NON INJURY

Street of the Golden Lantern/Camino Del Avion (3:14 p.m.) A white Volvo and an unknown vehicle were involved in an accident.

HIT AND RUN MISDEMEANOR

Pacific Coast Highway/Freeway-1 (2:13 p.m.) A white Nissan Maxima that was Northbound on Pacific Coast Highway was hit by a brown Honda Civic.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON IN VEHICLE

Cape Cove, 33900 Block (12:47 p.m.) A caller told police a man in either a silver Hyundai or a Kia four-door was sitting in front of a resident’s home for more than 20 minutes. The caller also said the homeowners were away on vacation.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

San Juan Avenue, 24600 Block (9:10 a.m.) Police were called about a man possibly trying to break into a vehicle in front of the caller’s business.

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY

Street of the Copper Lantern, 33800 Block (8:47 a.m.) A caller told police a man kept coming into their garage and starting a fire.

DISTURBANCE

Doheny Park Road, 3400 Block (12:20 a.m.) A man was arrested after he and a female were dumpster diving in the back of a store.

Tuesday, May 24

SHOTS HEARD – NO SUSPECT INFORMATION
Via California/Via Catalina (8:43 p.m.) One gun shot was heard in the area.

DISTURBANCE
Cordova Drive, 24600 Block (8:36 p.m.) Police were called for two women fighting in the street.

LOST OR STOLEN PLATE

Discovery Drive, 33600 Block (7:40 p.m.) A caller told police their front plate was stolen.

MUNICIPAL CODE VIOLATIONS

Scenic Drive/Street of the Green Lantern (7:22 p.m.)
Police received a call about a man and woman lying on a blanket off the Headlands Trail. The caller told police this was a municipal code violation due to the endangered species in the area.

HIT AND RUN MISDEMEANOR

Sherwood Way/Cheltam Way (4:54 p.m.) A black Toyota Prius was hit by a white sedan.

DISTURBANCE – AUTO INVOLVED

Santiago Drive, 33100 Block (1:42 p.m.) Police were called for a Ford Crown Vic’s horn going off for multiple hours.

BATTERY
Via Espinoza, 34500 Block (12:55 p.m.) A caller told police a neighbor punched them in the throat.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCES

Via Elevado, 25100 Block (11:51 a.m.) A caller told police a man was sitting in the bushes drinking a beer.

Dana Vista Drive, 33600 Block (10:25 a.m.) A resident told police their garage was vandalized.

Pacific Coast Highway, 34100 Block (7:55 a.m.) A caller told police two men were making faces into the windows.

Sherwood Way, 24800 Block (10:41 p.m.) Police were told a man was attempting to open car doors.

SHOTS FIRED

Camino Capistrano, 34500 Block (10:14 p.m.) Police received a call about two gunshots that were heard.

PETTY THEFT

Dana Drive, 24600 Block (5:20 p.m.) Police were called about a theft incident that took place in front of the yacht club.

DISTURBANCE – MUSIC OR PARTY

Calle Paloma, 34600 Block (5:18 p.m.) Police received a call for a neighbor who had been blaring music for multiple days for 24 hours straight.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Street of the Golden Lantern/Dana Point Harbor Drive (12:38 p.m.) A man was arrested after he was found passed out under a tree near El Torito.

ASSIST OUTSIDE AGENCY

Oldbridge Road, 33700 Block (12:05 p.m.) Animal control assisted in removing a dog from a parked unoccupied vehicle.

DISTURBANCE

Street of the Golden Lantern, 34600 Block (11:46 a.m.) A woman told police a business was “cheating her out of a jackpot she won” for catching the largest fish.

CITIZEN ASSIST

Olinda Drive, 33800 Block (2:53 a.m.) A man told police an Uber driver stole his girlfriend’s purse.

Saturday, May 21

SUSPICIOUS PERSON/CIRCUMSTANCE

Victoria Boulevard/Doheny Park Road (11:43 p.m.) A man told police another man jumped in front of him “out of nowhere” and threw something toward him. The caller said the man was waving his hands in the air and talking to himself before he ran across the street and jumped over a fence.
