The Dana Point Lion’s Heart Community Service group recently awarded local youth with their prestigious Presidential and Torchbearer awards for contributing nearly 5,000 hours of community service in South Orange County.  Over the last year Lion’s Heart youth have shipped 300 pounds of diapers for victims of the Harvey Hurricane; served and provided more than 400 sack meals to our local homeless, helped pack and distribute thousands of backpacks for the local homeless through Operation Helping Hands, participated in local beach clean ups, took part in breast cancer awareness cheering sections, provided staffing assistance to the Happiness Project benefiting local shelter kids, participated in Boys and Girls Club benefits and more.

Dione Zajac is the Dana Point Lion’s Heart Class Coordinator and described her group as stand-out members of the community.
