As Orange County moves forward in selecting a contractor to revitalize the Dana Point Harbor, public informational meetings will be held to explain the process of obtaining the revitalization lease, county officials said in a March 18 community notice.
The first meeting to brief the public on the Request for Qualifications process for the revitalization of Dana Point Harbor is set for March 31. The meeting will address the Request for Qualifications process and the role of the developer of the P3.
On March 16, the county issued the formal request for real estate development companies to file statements of qualifications for a “Private-Public Partnership,” or P3. Under a master ground lease, the revitalization of the Harbor will include designing, constructing, renovating and operating “certain improvements” within the Harbor, according to the notice.
The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. March 31, at the OC Sailing & Events Center, 34451 Ensenada Place, at the Dana Point Harbor.
