The City Council unanimously approved to withdraw a Local Coastal Program Amendment (LCPA) to modify parking standards for the city’s Town Center Plan area during its Oct. 18 meeting.

The parking standards in question were the ones approved by the city on Sept. 15, 2015 as part of the Town Center plan. After Measure H was passed and certified—and after the Coastal Commission certified it as an LCPA—the city recommended to withdraw the other Town Center parking LCPA.

The regulations prescribed by Measure H, including parking standards, will be implemented.
