The Dana Point Coast Guard Auxiliary teaches boating safety classes on Wednesday nights from 7-9 p.m. at Dana Point Yacht Club.

There is still time to attend basic coastal navigation. Readers may also be interested to know that successful completion of boating skills and seamanship (beginning on Sept. 26) qualifies for the California Boaters Card.
