Council Appoints Candidates to Open Seats, Cancels Local Election

In lieu of holding an election to fill the three open City Council seats this November, the current council voted on Thursday, Aug. 25, to cancel the local election and appoint incumbent Councilmember Jamey Federico, Planning Commission Chairperson John Gabbard and Chief Financial Officer of Pan-Pacific Mechanical Matthew Pagano to the dais as they were each running unopposed in their respective districts.

2022 Primary Election Results

Polling has closed for California’s Primary Election and results are pouring in, as candidates vying for local and statewide offices look to secure a placement on the ballots for the upcoming General Election this fall. The top two vote getters of each race, regardless of party affiliation, will move on to the General, which will be decided on Nov. 8.
