Three award-winning tattoo artists have joined forces in opening a state-of-the-art tattoo shop in Dana Point. London Reese, formerly of Vatican Studios in Lake Forest, teamed up with Los Angeles artist Sean Hall and Ink Master contestant Josh Woods of Nashville, Tennessee.
“I’m proud of our talented crew. We are all hippie artists and were looking for a place near the ocean to open up a studio,” Reese said, “I use to live in Dana Point, and for the past two years we have been looking for a space in South Orange County that would allow a [tattoo] shop.”
Alongside the immense talent, Black Lantern will be among the few businesses to incorporate microbicidal paint that kills bacteria and diseases upon contact.
“There are only two hospitals that have microbicidal paint, so we’re excited to be the first tattoo shop to use it.”
All sessions are made by appointment only, so be sure to e-mail Black Lantern to set up your session at TheBlackLanternOC@gmail.com. —Victor Carno
