Following the Dana Point Planning Commission’s June 8 vote to deny an appeal filed with the city asking that a conditional use permit for a BevMo! store at the southern end of the Lantern District be denied, the project will move forward, as the decision was not appealed to the City Council.

According to Community Development Director Ursula Luna-Reynosa, because no further appeal was received within the requisite timeframe, the CUP will be issued and the project will move to the construction drawing and building permit phase. A time estimate for the completion of the project is not yet available.
