SUPPORT THIS INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM
The article you’re about to read is from our reporters doing their important work — investigating, researching, and writing their stories. We want to provide informative and inspirational stories that connect you to the people, issues and opportunities within our community. Journalism requires lots of resources. Today, our business model has been interrupted by the pandemic; the vast majority of our advertisers’ businesses have been impacted. That’s why the DP Times is now turning to you for financial support. Learn more about our new Insider’s program here. Thank you.
In celebration of Arts and Humanities Month, two events will be held this weekend for art lovers.
Throughout the Lantern District, art displays, art exhibits and more will be featured during the Art Walk. The event is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16 along Del Prado, between Ruby Lantern and Old Golden Lantern.
There will be exhibits inside local businesses and live music at several outdoor locations. Baba Elefante Trio, a jazz group, will be playing next to Jack’s Restaurant. There will also be dance performances.
Admission is free for art walkers. For more information, contact Nancy Jenkins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Dana Point Fine Arts Association will be holding a show and a sale.
Art of various media will be on display from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Harbor boardwalk alongside the boat docks in Mariner’s Village.
There will be watercolor, oil, acrylic, colored pencil, pastels and photography works by many artists.
Dana Point Fine Arts annually donates a portion of the proceeds from the show to Dana Hills High School Art Department.
