The 10th Annual Ante Up for Autism raised $500,000 for it’s organization Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) during its Nov. 12 event at Monarch Beach Resort.
The funds raised from the event are allocated toward developing 12 programs which will connect affected families with professionals who can provide help.
The event was started by San Clemente residents Pat and Stephanie McIlvain to benefit TACA.
During the event, dinner was served and those who attended played casino games and entered a poker tournament.
“The event was an incredible success, as not only did we meet our goal, but exceeded it. Our grand total was over $625,000 raised towards TACA programs, supporting families nationwide and offering Real Help Now to families living with autism,” said Lisa Ackerman, TACA Executive Director, in a statement.
