The 5th Marine Regiment support group voiced that despite being held on a holiday weekend, the 9th annual American Heroes Car Wash was a resounding success, raising more than $9,500. Many people going to the beach couldn’t help but stop by to get their car washed and thank our American heroes. The 5th Marines washed cars shoulder-to-shoulder with the Dana Hills High School football team. The 5th Regiment Support Group thanks James Surber of Doheny Village hand car wash, StillWater Spirits and Sounds, Waterman’s Harbor Restaurant and Monarch Beach Rotary for providing volunteers. Baked goods were provided by the Daughters of the American Revolution. Dana Point Police Services and Orange County Fire Authority participated in this community event.
