Most popular ITEM: Fish and Chips
Best known for: Tacos
Describing its menu as “fun food for hungry locals,” the Fish Bucket serves up just that, from their famous fish and chips to their array of taco plates and burgers. Owned by Hennessey’s Tavern and located just next door, The Fish Bucket’s beverage options take up half the menu, featuring festive cocktails and spiked iced teas or Mai Tai’s. The ambiance has a beachy vibe: straw palapas strewn with colorful lights bookend a zig-zagging table area in the middle of the room across from a long bar with TVs while the restaurant has pictures of the beach, surfboards and other paraphernalia line the walls. Perhaps the best part of this hangout is the abundance of specials offered almost every day. The lineup includes $4 margaritas, a $2 taco bar, and live entertainment on Mondays from 5 p.m. on; 2-for-1 burger and taco Tuesday; buy one, get one free Baja style rotisserie chicken platters on Wednesdays; and $5 mojitos with the purchase of any entrée every Thursday (and don’t forget the karaoke!). Also, every weekday from 4-7 p.m. is Happy Hour, with half off select appetizers and signature cocktails, discounted draft beers and $5 tequila shots.
