A Randolph Rose sculpture titled “Summer Fun” was unveiled and dedicated on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Pines Park to celebrate Arts & Humanities Month.

City officials, along with members of the Arts & Culture Commission were in attendance to see the new sculpture unveiled.

“What better place to have this sculpture,” said Mayor John Tomlinson.

The sculpture depicts two children sitting on a log playing with a turtle. Behind the sculpture is a tree that children are often seen playing on.

“My kids have been playing here since they could walk,” Tomlinson said. “I hope this is somewhere kids will play, and people will stop to take pictures with it.”
