The Dana Hills girls water polo team unleashed an eight goal first quarter against Schurr on February 12 and didn’t look back en route to a 14-2 win in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 2 Championships.
Molly Wilbur led the way for the Dolphins offense, scoring five goals. Madison Baba scored three and Blaire Borisoff scored two. Kayla McGowan, Andrea Sandoval, Haley Scott and Lauren Van Rhyn each scored one in the win.
Dolphins goalie Gabby Zimmerman had nine stops.
The Dolphins now move on to play Long Beach Wilson in the second round on February 14. Long Beach Wilson won the Moore League in the regular season.
