The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce swore in a new leader, Terry Ross of Independence Bank, and board members at the organization’s annual meeting and installation dinner, held at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, 25135 Park Lantern, on Thursday, January 31.
In her acceptance speech, Ross laid out plans to strengthen the chamber through a 25 percent rise in membership, an increase in board involvement in committees and the stabilization of membership retention through an outreach program for businesses, to “once again become the most successful chamber in all of Orange County.”
Chamber membership over the last year increased from around 200 members to more than 400, Ross said. She said the growth within the chamber was “astronomical” and attributed the achievement to the hard work at the chamber office, diligent ambassadors and successful membership drives.
