Be it the goatee, the Fu Manchu, the Rollie Fingers or the Power ‘Stache (a la Tom Selleck), San Juan Capistrano is looking for its most follicularly-gifted men.
The Fiesta Association will be back at the Swallow’s Inn this Saturday to sign up more contestants for its annual Hairiest Man Contest.
Membership Chair Stephanie Frisch will be on hand with applications for those interested in participating in this popular event.
Men can sign up to compete in specific categories and are encouraged not to shave until they are judged during the Fiesta Association’s Fiesta Grande, March 20 at the Swallow’s Inn. The winner of the contest will receive a prize.
Swallow’s Inn regulars, Family Style, will perform on stage starting at 2:30 p.m.
The entry fee into the contest is $5 and goes toward the Fiesta Association, the all-volunteer group which organizes the popular Swallows Day Parade and Mercado and other events during the Fiesta de Las Golondrinas season. This year’s parade will take place March 23.
The Fiesta Association’s next major event is the Taste of San Juan, scheduled to take place February 12 at San Juan Hills Golf Club.
