At approximately 10:17 a.m. Tuesday the power went out in portions of Dana Point and San Clemente.

According to the San Diego Gas & Electric website, the outage affected 2,252 customers in Dana Point, Capistrano Beach and the San Clemente neighborhood of Talega.

The cause of the outage is yet to be determined.

The utility estimates the power will be restored by 12:47 p.m.
