After going 21-7 and winning the South Coast League title, the Dana Hills boys water polo team has been awarded a No. 1 seed in the Division 1 CIF-SS Championships.
The Dolphins will wait to see who emerges from the Wild Card match-up between University and Huntington Beach, which takes place on Tuesday, November 6. The winner of that match will go on to play Dana Hills on Wednesday, November 7 at Dana Hills High at 5 p.m.
Other notable teams from the area in the playoffs:
El Toro finished second in the South Coast League behind Dana Hills and will play the winner of the Harvard Westlake/Beckman Wild Card match.
Cross town rival San Clemente (17-10) made a late season push to get into the playoffs as the South Coast League’s No. 3 seeded team. They will enter the tournament as a Wild Card team and will face Millikan on Tuesday, November 6 at San Clemente High at 5 p.m.
